How Davishmar capitalized on his viral moment with beatBread

 

"It was my little piece of internet fame," he said. "I figured maybe I can make some money doing this."

To capitalize on this opportunity, multi-talented musician needed funding to continue his music career, but wanted to keep ownership of his music — just like his idols.

“Prince and Michael Jackson were big on owning their music,” said he said. “If it was important to the all-time greats, it should be important to me as well.”

The funding allowed the Ghanan-born musician to release his debut EP, "Velvet Temptations," last summer. That's why we created beatBread — to enable artists like Davishmar to access career-changing funding without compromising ownership or control.
